For the first time ever, IICTF to be held at New Delhi from 11-13 July

The First ever India International Cooperatives Trade Fair (IICTF) is going to be held at PragatiMaidan, New Delhi from 11th till 13th October, 2019. The fair will focus on textiles, Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), Health and hospitality, Trade and Marketing and Credit Services and Finance.

Organised by:
IICTF is jointly organised by National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), Network for the Development of Agricultural Cooperatives (NEDAC), Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED) and India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO).

Aim:
The 3-day Trade Fair is aimed at promoting cooperative trade within India and abroad which will lead to enhanced rural and farm prosperity. 
The Trade Fair will provide an immense opportunity to the participants to collaborate and explore business opportunities with the Cooperative Organisations from India and abroad.

Events:
The fair has been scheduled with conferences, exhibitions, B2B (business to business) meetings, C2C (consumer-to-consumer) meetings, sales promotion, marketing and products display business, networking, policy advocacy etc.
IICTF is supported by Department Of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare – Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Economic Diplomacy & States Division-Ministry of External Affairs, Department of Commerce-Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

Cooperative sector:
The Cooperative sector plays a major role in doubling agriculture exports from present $30 billion to $60 billion by 2022 as envisaged in the Agriculture Export Policy. Recently, National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) has set up a Cooperative Sector Exports Promotion Forum. An estimated 94% of the Indian farmers are members of at least one cooperative institution. 
IICTF  will be a major platform to promote exports by cooperatives with direct benefits to their members who are mainly farmers, artisans, women, SC /ST etc. 
Promotion of exports of specific promotional initiatives including the involvement of stakeholder entities be a definite boost for Doubling the Farmers Income and achieving the goals set under the Agri-Exports Policy 2018.
