India wins silver in first Commonwealth women’s cricket

The Indian women’s cricket team has settled for the silver medal in Birmingham after losing to five-time T20 champions Australia (won gold) by 9 runs in the Commonwealth Games 2022 final.

Other winners:

Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand won the Bronze Medal in Badminton Doubles.

Annu Rani won Bronze medal in Women’s Javelin Throw.

India’s Eldhose Paul and Abdulla Aboobacker won the gold and silver, respectively, in the men’s triple jump final.
