In India, Constitution Day is celebrated every year on 26 November to mark the anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the country.
The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, inaugurated the Indian Constitution Day celebrations organized by the Supreme Court, on November 26, 2018, in New Delhi. On 26 November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India formally adopted the Constitution of India, which came into effect on January 26, 1950.
