Integrated Security Hub Launched in Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Andaman and Nicobar Islands get a high-tech Integrated Command and Control Centre inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah costing ₹229 crore.
The centre strengthens security, emergency response, and surveillance, integrating multiple agencies.
Alongside, nine projects were inaugurated and two foundation stones laid, totaling ₹373 crore, focusing on infrastructure, public services, and development.
The initiative boosts maritime security, disaster management, and reflects India’s emphasis on strategic infrastructure, tourism, and island development.

Key Aspects of the Integrated Security Hub (ICCC):

  • Centralized Platform: Integrates surveillance, communication, and emergency systems into one digital interface.
  • Advanced Technology: Features high-definition CCTV, AI facial recognition, and real-time tracking for security and monitoring.
  • Disaster Management: Enhances coordination during natural disasters for faster response.
  • Port Connectivity: Helps manage ship/cargo logistics and passenger tracking for better maritime connectivity.
  • Waste Management: Uses GPS-enabled vehicles and sensors for efficient waste collection.
