International Day for Tolerance: 16 November
The International Day for Tolerance is observed annually on 16 November.
The day was declared by UNESCO in 1995, on its fiftieth anniversary, to generate public awareness of the dangers of intolerance. In 1996, the UN General Assembly adopted Resolution 51/95 proclaiming 16 November as International Day for Tolerance.
