
Jamuna Boro (born 7 May 1997) is an Indian former boxer. She was the bronze medal winner at the 2019 AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships. She was the gold medal winner at the 2nd India Open International Boxing Tournament in Guwahati. She was the gold medal winner at the 23rd President’s Cup 2019 Boxing International Open Tournament in Labuan Bajo. She was the bronze medal winner at the 5th Elite Women’s National Boxing Championship in Hisar (city). Boro resigned from Assam Rifles and was appointed as an excise inspector by the Assam Government. She retired from amateur boxing after the 5th Elite Women’s National Boxing Championships.
Boxing Career Highlights:
- 2013: Won gold at the 2nd Nations Cup International Sub-Junior Girls Tournament in Serbia.
- 2015: Won a bronze medal at the World Youth Boxing Championship in Taipei.
- 2018: Won silver at the 56th Belgrade Women’s Boxing Tournament in Serbia.
- 2019: Won gold at both the India Open International Boxing Tournament in Guwahati and the President’s Cup Boxing International Open Tournament in Indonesia.
- 2019: Won a bronze medal in the AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships in Ulan-Ude, Russia.
- 2022: Advanced to the finals in the Elorda Cup in Kazakhstan and won a silver medal.
