NIScPR stands for the National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research. It is a part of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in India.
About NIScPR
In 2021, a merger brought together two CSIR institutes:
– CSIR-NISCAIR, which stands for the National Institute of Science Communication and Information Resources
– CSIR-NISTADS, or the National Institute of Science, Technology and Development Studies
This new organization is all about advancing science communication, diving into policy research, and managing information resources. They produce scientific journals, books, and magazines to help spread the word about science. Plus, they conduct research on the policies that shape science, technology, and innovation, and how these areas affect society.
