Former Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita has died, Malian state media channel ORTM reported on Sunday. He was 76. Mr Keita had ruled Mali for seven years, since September 2013, till he was overthrown in a military coup in August 2020. He had also served as prime minister of the country from 1994 to 2000.

Odisha-based social worker Shanti Devi has passed away at the age of 88. She was awarded the Padma Shri award. She was remembered as the voice of the poor. Shanti Devi was also called as Lugdi Devi. She was known for her dedication towards the underprivileged community and restoring peace in the Maoist-affected areas in Odisha.
