President Ram Nath Kovind has greeted citizens on the eve of Dussehra, saying may the festival protect all from the evil effects of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and bring prosperity to the countrymen.

Vijayadashami is a major Hindu festival celebrated at the end of Navratri every year i.e. on the tenth day in the Hindu calendar month of Ashvin.
