The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has issued two job notifications for the recruitment of 654 Assistant Architect and Junior Engineer (Civil) positions. These openings are available under the Public Works (Building & National Highway) Department [PW(B&NH)D] and the joint cadre of the Public Works Roads Department (PWRD) and the Public Works (Building & NH) Department. 1. Assistant Architect

Name of department: Public Works (Building & National Highway) Department [PW(B&NH)D]

Scale of Pay: Rs. 30,000/- to Rs.1,10,000/-GP: Rs. 12,700/- Pay Band – 4

Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01/01/2025.

Educational Qualification: Bachelors Degree in Architecture from an Indian or Foreign University recognized by the Government.

2. Junior Engineer (Civil)

Scale of Pay: Rs. 14,000/- to Rs.70,000/-GP: Rs. 8,700/- Pay Band – 2 

Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 40 years of age as on 01/01/2025.

Educational Qualification:  
1. Candidate must have 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Civil Engineering & Planning/ Construction Technology from any technical institute recognized by AICTE.
2. The Diploma course must be a regular course. 

Eligibility Criteria of PWD Assam Recruitment
Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.
1. SC: 5 years
2. ST: 5 years
3. OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
4. PwBD: 10 years

Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.

Resident-ship:

(i) The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
(ii) The candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose/ Employment Exchange Registration certificate as proof of residency along with the application form.  

Small Family Norms: The candidates have to submit a declaration regarding “The Small Family Norms” in Form-A at the time of applying for the post.
