Tata Group to Build $11 Billion AI Innovation City in Maharashtra

Tata Group announced a $11 billion investment to develop an AI Innovation City near the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport. The announcement was made by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos, Switzerland. The project is a partnership between the Maharashtra government’s MMRDA and Industries Department, with the Tata Group assuming the lead role.
Focus Areas: The Innovation City is set to become a vibrant hub for artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, cutting-edge technologies, deep tech, digital infrastructure, and research and development (R&D).
