The first Sadiya Khowa Gohain

The first person to take on the title of Sadiya Khowa Gohain, which designates the governor of the Sadiya region in the Ahom kingdom, was Phrasengmung Borgohain. He was appointed by King Suhungmung after the Chutia kingdom was conquered in 1524.
