Founded in 1911, it stands as the world’s oldest and largest tea research center.
Tocklai Tea Research Institute conducts studies on every aspect of tea growing and processing to enhance productivity and quality. Following the establishment of Tea Research Association in 1964 with its headquarters at Tocklai, it has expanded its research scope further. Its regional research and development facility is located in Nagrakata, West Bengal.
