TYPES OF MINERALS

Normally two Types of Minerals are Recognised
- METALLIC MINERALS: These minerals contain metal, Iron Ore, manganese, nickel, etc are important examples of metallic minerals.
- Ferrous minerals: These minerals have iron content. IronOre, manganise, Chromite, pyrite, tungsten, nickel, cobalt etc are important examples of ferrous minerals.
- Non-ferrous Minerals: No iron content Gold, Silver, Copper, Lead, Bauxite, tin, Mangnesium, etc are important example of Non-Ferrous Minerals.
- NON-METALIC MINERALS: These minerals do not contain metal limestone, nitrate, potash, dolomite, mica, gypsum minerals coal and petrolium are also non-Metallic minerals.
