World Mosquito Day 2023: 20 August: Every year on 20 August, World Mosquito Day is observed. It is observed to commemorate the discovery made by Sir Ronald Ross in 1897. In 1897, Sir Ronald Ross discovered that the malaria parasite is transmitted to humans by Anopheles mosquitoes.
