Geeta rao gupta appointed as us ambassador for women's issues
Indian-American citizen Geeta Rao Gupta has been appointed by the US State Department as its envoy for women's issues.
Gupta appointment has been approved by the US Senate by 51 vote. Ms. Geeta Rao Gupta will promote women's and girl child's rights keeping in mind the US foreign policy. Ms. Gupta said that women all over the world are facing various inequalities and abusive treatment, due to which they are not able to contribute properly to the economy.
