Skoch SILVER Award 2023
The agency of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries in Chandigarh received the Skoch SILVER Award 2023 for e-Governance for computerising medical data for livestock treated by the agency. This is the country's first project of its kind. Giving more details, Secretary Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Vinod P Kavle said that this web-based application software caters to five Government Veterinary Hospitals and nine Veterinary Sub-centres of the Animal Husbandry Department, Chandigarh.

The primary goal of this application is to make it easier for animal owners to register their animals for treatment and other services such as artificial insemination, vaccination, and so on. To maintain all records of Veterinary Hospitals and Sub-Centres like OPD, Stock book, daily medicine expenditure and artificial insemination.
