Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission widely known as JKPSC, is a constitutional body formed by the Government of India under articles 128 and 133 which conducts the civil services examination for appointment to various civil services in the Indian administered union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Here is a detailed syllabus for JKPSC Preliminary exam.

JPSC Preliminary Exam Syllabus 2021

Name of Exam: Combined Civil Service Exam

No. of papers: 2 papers on General Studies

Duration: 2 Hours

Marks for each paper: 200 Marks

Total Marks for Preliminary exam: 400 Marks

Syllabus for Prelims:

• History of India
• Geography of India
• Indian Polity and Governance
• Economic and Sustainable development
• Science and Technology
• Jharkhand specific questions (General Awareness of its history, society, culture, and heritage)
• National and international current events.
• General questions of miscellaneous nature

Important:

• In the history section, candidates have to focus on the economic, political and social development of Jharkhand state.
• In the Geography section, candidates must pay attention to understanding the Geography of Jharkhand.
• Both these papers will be objective type.
