Observance of ‘Iddat’ is necessary :

A Where Cohabitation is lawful i.e. consummation of marriage.

B Where Cohabitation is unlawful i.e. illicit intercourse and the pregnancy follows the illicit intercourse

C In both (1) and (2)

D Only in (1) and not in (2)
