The appointments committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of the tenure ofMR Kumaras theChairmanof state-owned insurance companyLife Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).
M.R.Kumar took charge as Chairman of LIC on March 14, 2019. This is thesecond extensiongiven to Mr. Kumar. Prior to this, he was given a nine-month extension on June 30, 2021, till March 13, 2022.
