
In a historic achievement for Indian sports, junior speed skater Anish Raj won a bronze medal in the Junior Men’s One-Lap Road Sprint event at the 73rd Inline Speed World Championships 2025 in Beidaihe, China, finishing with a time of 39.714 seconds. In doing so, Anish became the first athlete from India to win a medal in this category, establishing India’s place on the global roller sports scene.
The Inline Speed World Championships is considered the highest level of roller sports, and it features the greatest athletes in a sport with world stage opportunities to measure themselves against the best.
