Mukhyamantri Nijut Babu Asoni — Support for Boys in Higher Education

The Assam government has invited applications for the Mukhyamantri Nijut Babu Asoni, a new scheme that provides financial assistance to boys from economically weaker families pursuing higher education. Designed as a counterpart to the Nijut Moina Asoni for girls, it aims to reduce dropouts and address emerging gender imbalance at the college level.
This scheme will provides monthly financial assistance to male students from economically weaker sections (annual family income below ₹4 lakh) pursuing higher education. It offers ₹1,000/month for undergraduate (UG) and ₹2,000/month for postgraduate (PG) students for 10 months.
