Chopra (812 articles) is followed by Elaine Thompson-Herah (751 articles), Shelley-Ann Fraser-Pryce (698 articles), and Shericka Jackson (679 articles). Bolt featured in 574 articles. World Athletics, international governing body for the sport of athletics, revealed this citing data from a media analysis company Unicepta.

As per World Athletics’ president Sebastian Coe, for the first time this year, Usain Bolt has not led the list of the most written-about athletes of the year. Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal for India in Tokyo last year. He won silver medal at the World Athletic Championships 2022 in Eugene, Oregon. He became second Indian to win a World Championship medal after Anju Bobby George’s bronze in the women’s long jump in 2003. He will compete at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest in August 2023 and the Asian Games in Hangzhou in September 2023.
