20 Indian men boxers have stormed into the Semi Finals on the third day today in the Second India Open International Boxing tournament in Guwahati.
Local favourite Shiva Thapa eased passed Mauritius Hellene Damien in the 60 kg category.

Another medal prospect, Amit Panghal also advanced to the Semi Final in the 52 kg category. However, Pawan Kumar, Ankit Khatana and Hussamuddin had to face defeat in their respective bouts.
Among others, who entered the Semi Finals are - Deepak, Neeraj Swami , P L Prasad, Gaurav Bidhuri , Ankit, Ankush Dahiya, Ashish and Manish Thakur. All the Semi Finalists are assured of medals.
AIR correspondent reports that Indian boxers had already confirmed a total of 32 medals in the first two days of the tournament.
