Indian Paint Conference was inaugurated in Agra on 11 January 2019.
It was organised by the Indian Paint Association (IPA), the apex body of the country's
paint industry.
The theme of the Conference is 'Paints Pe Charcha - Naye Aayaam'.
The IPA Conference will provide a frontal view of happenings in paints and
associated industries.

According to the Henley Passport Index, Japan retained its top spot as the world's
most travel-friendly passport due to the document's access to 190 countries.
India jumped two positions from 81st in 2018 to 79th in 2019.
The Henley Passport Index is based on data provided by the International Air
Transport Authority (IATA) and covers 199 passports and 227 travel destinations

The 'Sarva Bhasha Kavi Sammelan' or National Symposium of Poets was inaugurated
in Chennai on 10 January 2019.
It is organised by All India Radio (AIR).
Eminent poets of 22 Indian languages in the Ninth Schedule of the Indian
Constitution are participating in the symposium.
This is the first time the event is being held in Chennai.

Indian men's hockey coach Harendra Singh was removed from the position on 9
January 2019.
The team will be overseen by Hockey India High-Performance Director David John
and current Analytical Coach, Chris Ciriello.
Harendra Singh was brought in as men's coach in May 2018 after Sjoerd Marijne was
moved back to the women's camp.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced setting up of Human
Space Flight Centre in Bengaluru.
It will be headed by Unnikrishnan Nair.
ISRO also announced that R. Hutton will head the Gaganyaan project.
The Gaganyaan project will send three astronauts to orbit the Earth for three to seven
days.
The project is slated to happen before December 2021
